Earn $120–$145 for about 2.5–3.5 hours — and help build a fairer test for kids everywhere.
I'm currently partnering with Pearson Clinical Field Research to help standardize the newest edition of one of the most widely used children's intelligence assessments in the country. Real kids, in real communities, working through real tasks — so the test works well for every child, not just some.
What's Involved
One relaxed, one-on-one session with me
Age-appropriate tasks (“brain games!”) — puzzles, memory games, picture matching, problem-solving — genuinely more like games than a "test"
About 2.5–3.5 hours total
A $120–$145 digital gift card just for participating
Who Can Participate
Ages 6–16
English is their primary language for daily conversation (bilingual and multilingual households are welcome too!)
Typical vision and hearing (glasses/hearing aids are fine)
Typical fine and gross motor skills
All backgrounds and neurodiverse learners (including kids with ADHD, autism, or a learning disability) are particularly welcome!
Making It Easy For You
I come to you. We can meet at your home, a local library, a quiet coffee shop — even a hotel lobby, if that's what works best. I have a lot of open availability in summer; during the school year, weekends and after-school slots usually work.
What This Is (and Isn't)
This is research — not an evaluation. Your child won't receive a score, a report, or a diagnosis, and nothing from the session goes into any school record. Your information is kept private and used only to help build the test. The data I gather is strictly kept separate from your child’s name and other identifying details.
Are there any risks?
Some of the puzzles can get tricky, but besides the occasional head-scratcher, this is considered minimal-risk research. It’s about what you'd expect from a normal day of schoolwork. Also, your kiddo can take breaks for snacks or to get wiggles out as needed.
A Little About Me
I'm a nationally certified school psychologist with a background in special education and bilingual assessment. (Read more on my About me page →)
